Caterina Mona
Editor, Screenwriter, Director, Sound Editor
Born in 1973 in Zurich, Switzerland. Studied English literature before studying film at INSAS (Institut National Supérieur des Arts du Spectacle) in Brussels. She graduated as an editor in 2001. Besides editing several feature and documentary films she worked for the film festivals in Locarno and Berlin. Mona has become established as a versatile editor and has worked on a variety of documentaries and feature films, including DIE KINDER VOM NAPF (2011), which had over 78,000 cinema admissions in Switzerland. In addition to her work as an editor, she also works as a director and screenwriter. Her short film LOST (2015) premiered in the Pardi di Domani competition at the Locarno Film Festival. With SEMRET (2022), which was also shown at the Piazza Grande in Locarno, she released her first feature-length film as a director and writer.
