Swiss presence at Film Festival Max Ophuels Prize in Saarbrücken

The documentary film “Faustrecht/Rule of the Fists” by Bernhard Weber and Robi Müller, which premiered at the Nyon Film Festival, will be part of the feature and documentary films competition at the 28th Film festival Max Ophuels Preis, taking place in Saarbrücken from January 15 – 21, 2007. The Swiss director Stefan Haupt is one of five members of the jury, which bestows, along with the Max Ophuels Prize of 18,000 Euro, a 7,500 Euro documentary film award. Representing Switzerland in the short film competition section, with a prize sum of 5,000 Euro, is the short film “Ashbrothers” by Steve Walker, which has also been nominated for the 2007 Swiss Film Prize. Further shown will be six productions in the “Spektrum”, “Experimentalfilm”, “Juryfilme”, and “Heimatfilme” series.
