International showcase for Swiss series

SWISS FILMS is presenting promising series projects from Switzerland in collaboration with SRG SSR at Series Mania in Lille (March 21-28, 2025), the leading series event in Europe. Two series will celebrate their world premieres in the festival’s competitions.
Director Jean-Stéphane Bron’s THE DEAL (scriptwriters: Jean-Stéphane Bron, Stéphane Mitchell) will be screened in the International Competition. The six-part drama series by Bande à part Films (CH, FR, LU, BE) featuring Belgian actress Veerle Baetens in the leading role is set in the diplomatic milieu of Geneva.
The Swiss-French series INTRAÇABLES (LOG-OUT), directed by Louis Farge and Luc Walpoth (scriptwriters: France Ortelli, Mathilde Arnaud, Ami Cohen, Raphaël Meyer) and produced by Akka Films, will be screened in the French Competition. In the six-part thriller about cybercrime, a woman begins to search for clues after her husband’s mysterious death.
Coming Next from Switzerland
SWISS FILMS and the SRG SSR media company have joined forces to promote Swiss series at film markets in order to increase the visibility of Swiss series on the international market.
As part of the Series Mania Forum, the two partners have invited international world sales representatives and buyers from TV stations and streaming platforms to the “Coming Next from Switzerland” showcase. Swiss producers will pitch five new series at various stages of production, which are being coproduced by SRG SSR and its enterprise entities SRF, RTS and RSI. Renowned Finnish film consultant Johanna Karppinen is the moderator.
Thereafter, SWISS FILMS and SRG SSR will host a Swiss get-together for networking with Switzerland’s series industry.
Scriptwriter Arne Kohlmayer and co-author Dina Duma will present their series project THE GIRL WITH THE SUN IN HER EYES in the Series Mania Forum. Theirs is one of ten projects selected for the Series Mania Institute’s Writers Campus 2025 – the European training programme for the series industry.
In addition, THE DEAL is among the ten high-profile projects selected for the “Series Mania Buyers Upfront”, the first-ever industry event. This selection, curated by the festival, is intended for buyers will present exclusive clips from new series that have high international potential.
