A love story set against a background of Iraq in the 1980s. Under Saddam Hussein's brutal regime, Najla, a young doctor from Rome University, must chose between the traditions of her family and her personal ideals and dreams. Love, betrayal and the destiny of the two men who want to marry her are interwoven in her story as she meets her fateful end.

Una storia d'amore ambientata in Iraq negli anni '80. Durante il brutale regime di Saddam Hussein, Najla, una giovane dottoressa all'Università di Roma, è costretta a scegliere tra i suoi sogni ed ideali e le tradizioni della sua famiglia. L'amore, il tradimento e il destino dei due uomini che vogliono sposarla s'intrecciano nel racconto della fine fatale di Najla.
