Né en 1953 à Oberriet, Suisse. Formation d'enseignant en arts visuels à l'école d'arts visuels de Lucerne. Activité artistique indépendante. Enseignant à l'EPF de Zurich, à la ZHdK (Haute école d'art et de design de Zurich) et à la Haute école pédagogique de Saint-Gall, Lucerne, Zug. Depuis 1998, cinéaste indépendant.
