André Schäfer
Screenwriter, Director
Born in 1966 in Troisdorf, Germany. He has directed and produced numerous documentaries for over twenty years. HERE’S LOOKING AT YOU, BOY (2007) and ROCK HUDSON – DARK AND HANDSOME STRANGER (2010) both premiered at the Berlinale. He was nominated for the German Film Award with LENIN CAME ONLY AS FAR AS LÜDENSCHEID (2008). DEUTSCHBODEN (2014) received the German Film Critics’ Award for Best Documentary.
