For the first time this year, the Festival du Film Français en Helvétie (FFFH) offers a platform for Swiss filmmaking by presenting the two films «Mon frère se marie» by Jean-Stéphane Bron (Box Productions, Renens), and «Ca brûle» by Claire Simon (Co-production: Vega Films, Zurich). The festival is taking place for the second time in Biel from September 27 to October 1, 2006.
During the 5-day event, a number of cinematic delicacies can be viewed, among them the two Swiss co-productions which will be presented with the film crew in attendance. On September 30th, as part of the «Journée blanche» (White Day), which is centered around the theme of «innocence», the film «Ca brûle» by Claire Simon will be presented, who will be in Biel together with the actress Camille Varenne. On October 1, and as part of the Journée rouge (Red Day), which is coined by the theme of «love and passion», the festival shows the film «Mon frère se marie» by Stéphane Bron. This first-time feature film by the Western Swiss director will be released in movie theaters in the Romandie on October 4.
