Two Swiss short films have been nominated for the French short film prize “Lutins du Court métrage”. Together with four additional works, “Terra Incognita” by Peter Volkart is competing in the category for Best European Film, while the French-Swiss co-production “Rachel” by Frédéric Mermoud is among 21 short films nominated in the Fiction category. The “Lutins” will be bestowed in Paris on June 19, 2007.
The “Lutins”, which have been awarded for the past 10 years in France to honor best short films, have become one of the most important French film prizes in addition to the Césars.

All nominated films are touring 23 cities in France before the winners will be announced at the “Théâtre national de Chaillot” in Paris as part of the “Nuit de Lutins”. The jury is comprised of approximately 2000 makers of short film (filmmakers, actors, producers, distributors, script writers, musicians, etc.).

“Terra Incognita” has been presented successfully at various festivals around the world for the past two years and won a total of 12 prizes.
