Six Swiss film productions will be screened at the 20th anniversary edition of the “Message to Man” International Film Festival (July 15-22, 2010). The festival is entirely devoted to documentary, short and animated film productions. The film “David Wants To Fly” by German director David Sieveking (coproduction: Dschoint Ventschr, Zurich) and the Swiss-Croatian animation film “Miramare” by Michaela Müller, as well as the short films “À côté” by Basil Da Cunha and “Particules” by the Montreal-based Swiss director Kristina Wagenbauer, will be among the 73 works of all lengths and genres screened in the international competition and thus in the running for the Grand Prize.
The Swiss presence at the festival in St. Petersburg will be round off by Reto Caffi's short film "Auf der Strecke", nominated for an Oscar, and the documentary film "The Sound After The Storm" by Patrik Soergel, Ryan Fenson-Hood and Sven O. Hill.
The festival in St. Petersburg is one of the five documentary and short film festivals accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Association (FIAPF).
