Swiss films honored in Argentina

At the 3rd edition of the Festival Pantalla Pinamar, taking place in the Argentine coastal city from December 9 – 16, 2006, Swiss filmmaking will by honored with a special program. As part of the “La Avanzada Suiza” (The Swiss Avant-Garde) section, film classics such as “The Boat is Full” (1980) by Markus Imhoof, as well as the two debut films “When The Right One Comes Along” (2003) by Oliver Paulus and Stefan Hillebrand, and “Why We Try” (2004) by Peter Luisi will be shown.
Founded three years ago by the Argentine Film Institute (INCAA), the festival is has been dedicated to the encounter between Argentine and European filmmaking. In addition to a focus on Switzerland, works from Italy, France, and Bavaria will be part of the program. The Swiss delegation in Pinamar will include Peter Luisi, director of “Why We Try”and Pablo Aguilar, the film’s main actor with Argentine roots, as well as Oliver Paulus, co-director of “When The Right One Comes Along”.
