Swiss film productions will be present in every festival section at the 25th Festival International du Film Francophone de Namur in Belgium (October 1-8, 2010). Two films from Switzerland are in the limelight with a screening in the festival’s official competition, comprised of 15 films with a French-speaking director: the film director duo Stéphanie Chuat and Véronique Reymond with their touching feature film debut “La petite chamber”; and Nicolas Wadimoff with his documentary film “Aisheen (Still Alive in Gaza).” The festival will also present the film “La petite chamber” and the world premiere of the feature film “All That Remains” by the two Genevan directors Pierre-Adrian Irlé and Valentin Rotelli in the Emile Cantillon Competition, which is devoted to works by newcomers.

Four short films are on the festival programme, which constitutes one of the most important platforms for Francophone films: the 26-minute film "Elder Jackson" by Robin Erard will be screened in the international short film competition. The film "Le deuil de la cigogne joyeuse" by director Eileen Hofer will be screened out of competition. Two clips portraying music by Swiss bands will be screened in the video clip competition, which the festival introduced last year: the clip "Every Rope" by Belgian director Bruno Deville which portrays Ärtonwall; and Swiss director Marco Lutz portrays Urban Junior in his "Man On The Run" video clip.

Film professionals from French-speaking Switzerland are members of the various festival juries: film producer Elena Tatti (Box Productions) in the international jury; and the graduate of the HEAD Geneva University of Art and Design Marie-Elsa Sgualdo in the Emile Cantillon Jury. Thanks to the support provided by SWISS FILMS, the promotion agency, the directors whose films are being screened in the competitions will attend the festival: Stéphanie Chuat, Nicolas Wadimoff, Pierre-André Irlé and Robin Erard.
