Northern Europe works up enthusiasm for Swiss short films

The 24th Short Film Festival Hamburg, taking place from June 4-9, 2008, in the Germany's northern metropolis, introduces four Swiss short films in ist different sections and will include the Swiss-Austrian football reel “Eleven Minutes” in ist program. The prestigious festival in Grimstad (Norway), which will run from June 12-17, 2008, on its part has invited the already multifold award-winning film “Auf der Strecke” by Reto Caffi, to be screened in the international competition.
At the Short Film Festival Hamburg, next to Oberhausen one of the most significant events devoted to short films, the short fiction film “René” by Tobias Nölle (International Competition), the animation film “Tôt ou tard” by Jadwiga Kowalska (Children's Film Competition in the section Mo & Friese), the video clip “Don't Smoke” by Kyros Kikos (competition “Three Minute Quickie”) as well as the 30-minute fiction film “Auf der Strecke” by Reto Caffi (German Competition) will be screened.
“Auf der Strecke” will also be presented on the occasion of the international competition at the 31st Norwegian Short Film Festival in Grimstad.
The festival program includes film hits having recently been presented at the festivals in Clermont-Ferrand (France), Tampere (Finland) and Oberhausen (Germany) and which have exclusively been selected for this event.
