Nine Swiss productions at Hof International Film Festival (Germany)

The 41st Hof International Film Festival, an event with particular importance for German film distribution, will take place from October 23 – 27, 2007, and it presents nine Swiss productions, including the feature films “Bersten” by Michael Finger (Production: Les Jeunes Toqués, St. Gallen), and “Marmorera” by Markus Fischer. “Raja’s Reise” by Karl Saurer (Reck Filmproduktion, Zurich), “Mittendrin” by Salome Pitschen, and “Staub” by Hartmut Bitomsky (co-produced by Dschoint Ventschr, Zurich), are among the selected documentary films. The short feature films “Il neige à Marrakech” by Hicham Alhayat, “Ménagerie intérieure” by Nadège de Benoit-Luthy and “Auf der Strecke” de Reto Caffi as well as the short documentary film “Alles über Daniel” by Dominique Müller round out this year’s multifaceted Swiss presence at Hof.
Festival director Heinz Badewitz will present approximately 70 long and 30 short international works, with a total of four awards to be bestowed.
