Swiss film producers Zoltán Horváth and Nicolas Burlet will present eleven films from their Nadasdy Film studio at the international Festival of Animated Films Anifilm in Trebon and provide insight into their experience with international coproductions. In addition, three Swiss film productions and coproductions will be screened in competition at the Czech festival.

The Nadasdy Film studio in Geneva will be featured as the guest at the Visegrad Animation Forum (VAF), held in conjunction with the 4th Anifilm in Trebon (May 3-8, 2013). Film producers Zoltán Horváth and Nicolas Burlet will present eleven works either produced or coproduced at Nadasdy Film. They will also provide insight into their experience with international coproductions and the market for short animation film productions in Europe. The VAF, which offers project presentations, film screenings and panel discussions to professional animation filmmakers, also serves as a meeting place for exchanging information and networking within the industry. The presence of Nadasdy Film was curated and organised by the festival in collaboration with SWISS FILMS, the promotion agency.

Swiss filmmakers at the festival
Works presented in the Czech Republic include the internationally acclaimed short films by Zoltán Horváth – “Feu sacré” (2010); “Dans la peau” (2007); and “Nosfératu Tango” (2002) – as well as Marcel Barelli’s much-acclaimed “Gypaetus Helveticus” (2011) and the two festival favourites “Miramare” by Michaela Müller and “Le petit dragon” by Bruno Collet (both in 2009). Two animation filmmakers from Switzerland will attend the festival together with Zoltán Horváth and Nicolas Burlet: Michaela Müller, who will present the animation technique used in her film, as well as the animation filmmaker and lecturer Rolf Bächler, who will moderate at the festival.

International Competition
Three films from Switzerland are among the 36 works screened in the International Short Film Competition: “Chemin faisant” by Georges Schwizgebel; “Der kleine Vogel und das Blatt” by Lena von Döhren; and “Kali, le petit vampire” by Regina Pessoa. Switzerland was already present at the International Festival of Animated Films Anifilm with numerous short film productions in 2012.
