“KussKuss - Your Happiness Depends On Me!” wins competition in San José (USA)

The feature film debut “KussKuss - Your Happiness Depends On Me!” by Swiss director Sören Senn was announced as the winner of the top prize at the 2006 Cinequest Film Festival in California (March 1-12, 2006). It was bestowed with the “Maverick Spirit Award” by the competition jury. The film, which was produced in Germany, already won the 2005 Babelsberg Media Prize and was presented at several international festivals, among the Festival des Films du Monde in Montreal, the Amiens International Film Festival, and the Schwerin Art of Film Festival.
The jury of the Cinequest Film Festival praised Sören Senn ‘s precise storytelling and the film’s sensibility without false shock and sentimentality.” Living close to the US-Mexican border and drawing from its own experience with illegality and immigration, the audience enthusiastically embraced the film.
“KussKuss” will be released in German movie theatres in May 2006. The theatrical release in Switzerland is planned for this summer (Distribution: Cineworx).
