“Heimatklänge“ and “Il neige à Marrakech“ awarded in Trento (Italy)

On the occasion of the 56th Trento Film Festival, which took place from April 22-May 4, 2008, two Swiss films have been awarded. The documentary “Heimatklänge” by Stefan Schwietert (produced by Maximage, Zurich) has won the award “Golden Gentian – City of Bozen Prize”, worth 3000 Euros, whereas the short film “Il neige à Marrakech” by Hicham Alhayat (produced by Cadre Films, Geneva) received the award “Silver Gentian for Best Short Film” worth 1500 Euros.
From amongst 34 films “Heimatklänge” won the “Golden Gentian for Best Film”, a prize which is awarded for works dealing with topics such as sports, discovery and adventure. With this, the documentary, investigating the vocal universe of three extraordinary Swiss artists, has won ist sixth award. One of the jurors of the international five-member jury of this festival, which is devoted to alpine culture in various forms, was Swiss director Sylviane Neuenschwander.
