European Film Academy: “Sister” nominated for the Young Audience Award
Ursula Meier’s fiction film “Sister,” which was honoured with a Silver Bear in Berlin, is in the running for the new Young Audience Award by European Film Academy.

The Swiss-French coproduction “Sister” (“L’enfant d’en haut”) by Ursula Meier is one of the three films nominated for the Young Audience Award, which will be presented for the first time in 2012. The two other films in the running for the award are: “Blue Bird” by Gust Van den Berghe (Belgium); and “Kauwboy” by Boudewijn Koole (Netherlands). The European Film Academy, in collaboration with the partner organisations from the host countries, has invited youth between 10 and 13 years of age to watch the three films in cinemas in Amsterdam, Belgrade, Erfurt, Copenhagen, Norrköping (Sweden) and Turin on Sunday, June 10, 2012, and cast their ballots for their favourite films. The award will be presented in Erfurt on the same day.
Tremendous success in cinemas
“Sister” was honoured with a Silver Bear at the Berlinale 2012 and is currently running with tremendous success in cinemas in Switzerland. The film was produced by Vega Film (Zurich) and has already been sold in 22 countries.
