On August 15th, Emperor Hirohito made a public appeal to his people to stop all military operations. The Sun portrays the events transpiring between two decisions made by this regal person that were of historical proportion. They are the declaration of surrender in the WWII and renunciation of his divine status.
Il 15 Agosto, l’imperatore Hirohito fece un pubblico appello al suo popolo affinché cessassero le operazioni militari. Il film racconta i risvolti che stanno dietro le due decisioni cruciali prese da Hirohito: decisioni che si rivelarono di grande importanza storica. La prima fu la dichiarazione di resa durante la seconda guerra mondiale, e l’altra la rinuncia al suo stato divino.
