Cairo is the musical and artistic capital of the Middle East and with 20 million inhabitants, it is not easy to escape acoustic confusion. Everything is mixed up: from the great Diva Um Kalthoum and her traditional melancholic songs and the voices of thousands of Muezzins to with modern Arabic pop music and erotic video clips shown on TV. The film portrays the full gamut of the Egyptian music scene, from eastern music and folklore to Arabic pop music.
