In a world without animals and plants, Nino, a 13-year-old boy, struggles with himself to avoid taking responsibility for the fact that he is the grandson of the man who caused the extinction of nature. His classmates mock him and draw his attention to his family ancestry. Nino doesn't want to hear about it until the day he meets Mother Earth herself. She offers him the fantastic opportunity to meet his grandfather. So Nino begins a journey into the past to discover plants, animals and, above all, the identity of his grandfather. In the end, Nino has to make a decision: continue fighting or...? A journey of initiation and self-discovery between realism and fairy tale.
In un mondo privo di animali e di piante, Nino, un ragazzino di 13 anni, lotta contro se stesso per non assumersi la responsabilità di essere il nipote di colui che ha provocato l’estinzione della natura. I suoi compagni lo prendono in giro e gli fanno pesare le sue origini familiari. Nino si tappa le orecchie, fino al giorno in cui incontra Madre Terra in persona. Questa gli offre la fantastica opportunità d'incontrare suo nonno. Nino inizia così un viaggio nel passato alla scoperta di piante, di animali, ma soprattutto della vera identità di suo nonno. Alla fine Nino, è costretto a compiere una scelta: continuare a lottare oppure…? Un viaggio d'iniziazione e di scoperta di sé tra realismo e fiaba.
