Born in Zurich, Switzerland, where his mother migrated to from Istanbul. He worked as a typographer in Mexico City and in Berlin in cinema and theatre, prior to studying film at HEAD–Genève (Geneva University of Art and Design). His short films have screened at festivals around the world. BROTHERS – A FAMILY FILM (2020) premiered at Visions du Réel. DE NOCHE LOS GATOS SON PARDOS (2022), his feature debut, premiered in Locarno, where it received a Special Mention for Best First Feature and then screened at Rotterdam, Thessaloniki, Sevilla, São Paulo and the Berlin Critics' Week, among other international festivals. He has just completed his latest short LES BOUCHES (2024).
