Analysing data on Swiss films and adding international release information. Visualising data and identifying trends.
The Swiss Films Portal database contains information about films, filmmakers and their companies, as well as information about the global exhibition of Swiss-made films in cinemas, at festivals and film awards, on VOD platforms and in special programmes. The data is validated by SWISS FILMS, which also adds exhibition data (festivals, awards, theatrical release dates) and details of any support received.
The Swiss Films Portal is the basis for reports and other in-depth evaluations of home-grown productions. The film data is made available to the Federal Office of Statistics and a number of partners, such as Cinémathèque suisse, for analysis and archiving.
