Swiss Immersion

“Swiss Immersion” is a pilot initiative developed by SWISS FILMS with the aim to strengthen the presence of Swiss immersive projects at international festivals.

Through its Swiss Immersion Festival Support, SWISS FILMS assists Swiss producers of immersive projects with promotional and travel expenses and contributes to installation costs, thus enabling producers and creators to increase their visibility and enhance their opportunities on the global market.

HOW CAN I APPLY FOR THE SWISS IMMERSION FESTIVAL SUPPORT?

You can find out everything you need to know about the application procedure and the eligible costs in the Guidelines below. The festivals and sections for which a film must be selected to be eligible for consideration are listed in the appendix of the guidelines. 

Which projects are eligible to apply?

  • The project is an audiovisual work intended for an immersive or interactive experience.
  • The project is a Swiss production, according to the requirements for a Swiss production in the Guidelines.
  • The project has been selected for a festival section, which is listed on the festival list in the appendix of the Guidelines.

Note:
In collaboration with SWISS FILMS, the Federal Office of Culture (FOC) already offers the established Festival Support XR for immersive projects selected for the following five international film festivals: Festival de Cannes, Sundance Film Festival, SXSW South by Southwest Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, Venice International Film Festival.

The Swiss Immersion Festival Support is a pilot measure, which can be subject to change and revisions by SWISS FILMS at any time.
