Téné and Tamba live in Guinea and work in gold mining. In holes in the ground and underground caves, Tamba excavates rock from the walls. The material is taken from Téné to the washer where the gold is extracted. Gold mining in Guinea is not regulated, safety standards are poor. It happens again and again that too much is removed, caves collapse, gold diggers are injured and die. Nevertheless, the gold business is flourishing and many people make a living from it.
