Michaela Schäuble

Michaela Schäuble is a filmmaker and teaches media anthropology at the University of Bern (CH). She work across the fields of ecological humanities, (post)colonialism and cultural heritage. She is co-founder and co-director of EMB - Ethnographic Mediaspace Bern and heads the doctoral program SINTA -Studies in the Arts. In her own artistic practice and research she mainly explores apparatuses of belief, specifically the role of technology, mediality and remediation in contexts of religious practice and experience. She curates film programs for museums and festivals and regularly serves on selection committees.
