Maja Tschumi
Screenwriter, Director, Editor, Cinematographer
Born in 1983 in Basel, Switzerland. She is known for her intimate portraits of outsiders rebelling against various forms of psychological, social and political oppression. In 2013 she graduated with a Master's degree in Philosophy and Literature from the University of Zurich. She worked as a playwright and theatre critic for Theater Basel and Gessnerallee Zurich, among others, and completed a Master's degree in film directing at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne (2023). She lives and works between Zurich and Berlin.
