A graduate in Classical Piano Performance from the Conservatory in Lugano and in Classical Composition and Film Scoring from Boston’s Berklee College of Music, she worked in Los Angeles within a mentorship programme with the composers of The Simpsons and Star Trek. Honoured with several awards internationally, her concert music has been performed in the USA as well as in Europe, recently at the Berlin Philharmonic. Based in Berlin, she wrote over the course of two decades the music for over fifty films. From 2004-07 she was Associate Professor at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. Since 2007 she works exclusively as a composer. She is a former board member of the German Film Academy, long-time board member of the German Film Music Union, a member of the European Film Academy and the Academy of German Music Authors. She served numerous times as a jury member of national and international film music awards.
