Anastasia Ursu
Composer, Sound Designer, Screenwriter, Director
A Moldovan-born filmmaker and composer based in Italy. She graduated in 2023 in Visual Design (Film) from CISA (Conservatorio Internazionale di Scienze Audiovisive) in Locarno. Her early works, developed in an academic context, received several awards. She is the cofounder of the cultural association Materia Viva, dedicated to the creation and promotion of experimental and innovative cinematic, audiovisual, and immersive works. At the Spring Academy of the Locarno Film Festival, she directed AMONG THE QUIET STARS (2025), which premiered at Locarno. In December 2025, she attended a filmmaking lab in Patagonia under the mentorship of Paolo Sorrentino, shooting the short film THE WIND SONG.
