Max Simonischek
Actor
Born 1982 in Berlin, grew up in Zurich and Schleswig-Holstein. 2003-07 Acting studies at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Since 2007 permanent ensemble member at the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin. There he worked with Armin Petras, Fritz Kater (HEAVEN, awarded the Friedrich Luft Preis, WE ARE BLOOD, MEPHISTO FOR EVER, FRÜCHTE DES ZORNS, DIE WOHLGESINNTEN) as well as with Tilmann Köhler (HAMLET), Nuran David Calis (ROMEO UND JULIA), Felicitas Brucker (LILJA 4EVER) and Jan Bosse (also at the Burgtheater Wien). In film and television Max Simonischek has already worked with Markus Imboden in VERDINGBUB (Swiss Film Prize, Bern Film Prize) and AM HANG, with Alain Gsponer and Richard Blank, as well as with Philipp Kadelbach in the feature film HINDENBURG (German Television Prize). Max Simonischek was a member of the Munich Kammerspiele ensemble from 2012-14. He was cast for a leading role in THE DIVINE ORDER by Petra Volpe. In 2019, Max achieved great national attention when the biographical feature film ZWINGLI was launched, in which he plays the leading role as reformer Ulrich Zwingli. For this role he was nominated for the second time for the Swiss Film Award as "Best Leading Actor".
