Two Swiss short films win awards in Spain

Georges Schwizgebel’s animation film “Jeu” was awarded the “Venus de Badalona”, amounting to 1,000 euros, at the 33rd edition of the International Filmets Festival of Badalona (November 16 – 24, 2007). In addition, the animated documentary film “Le printemps de Sant Ponç” by David Epiney and Eugenia Mumenthaler was honoured with the “Prix Avid” for “Best Montage” at the 14th “l’Alternativa” Independent Film Festival in Barcelona (also held from November 16 – 24).
The jury of the Filmets Festival of Badalona was comprised of five filmmakers. A total of 157 short films from 40 countries participated in the international competition.
Film directors David Epiney and Eugenia Mumenthaler were present at the award ceremonies in Barcelona to receive the “Prix Avid” personally on November 24.
