At the 36th Molodist Kiew International Film Festival, taking place from October 21-29, 2006, two Swiss short films received awards: “Terra Incognita” by Peter Volkart (Reck Filmproduktion, Zurich) won the FICC-Jury (Fédération Internationale des Ciné-clubs) prize for Best Short Film, which is the film’s 9th award at an international festival! “La clé des champs”by Floriane Closuit (EFM production, Lausanne) received an honorary diploma by the ecumenical jury.
“Terra Incognita” has been shown at no less than 30 international festivals over the past two years. The pseudo-real journey of discovery by nano-physicist Igor Leschenko also won the “Young Jury Award” at the Festival Imago de Fundão (Portugal) in the beginning of October. The award came with a prize sum of 1,000 Euro.

Similarly, the short film “La clé des champs”, a cheerful encounter between an adolescent girl and her great-grandmother, had previously been selected as “Best of the Fest Day” by the audience at this year’s Palm Springs Festival.
