Two Swiss fiction films screened at Festival do Rio

“Tandoori Love” by Oliver Paulus and “Un autre homme” by Lionel Baier will be screened at the 11th Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival (Festival do Rio), which runs from September 24 to October 8, 2009. The two Swiss fiction films will be screened in the “Expectations” section, the festival’s international programme showcasing approximately 300 films from 60 countries.
The festival in Rio sold more than 300,000 tickets last year, attracting an audience from the Brazilian metropolis and international film professionals in equal measure. The focus of the festival, which has no competition, is ist international programme. With ist Rio Market for the Brazilian and international film industry, the festival ranks among the most important platforms in Brazil for film productions for the cinema, together with the festival in São Paulo.
