Two films from Vaud region competing at NEFF (Spain)

The two Swiss feature films “Comme des voleurs – A l’Est/Stealth” by Lionel Baier (Saga Productions, Lausanne) and “Mon frère se marie/My Brother Is Getting Married” by Jean-Stéphane Bron (Box Productions, Renens) are in the running for the award for Best European Film (with a prize sum of 18,000 Euro) at the 3rd NEFF – New European Film Festival, which is taking place in Vitoria-Gasteiz from May 2 – 12, 2007. Vitoria-Gasteiz is the capital of the Spanish Basque country
The two works have been selected along with ten additional films from seven countries. All films were produced by European filmmakers or filmmakers living in Europe and whose filmography comprises less than three films.
The goal of this young festival is to promote European film by supporting up-and-coming talents. In 2005, Lionel Baier won the festival’s prize for Best European Director for his film “Stupid Boy”.
