The award for the best 35-mm film shorter than 15 minutes in the Children and Youth Films Competition went to Jadwiga Kowalska´s animation film „Tôt ou tard”, while „Animatou” by Claude Luyet was mentioned favourably by the children´s jury.
The video clip “Bestes deutsches Musikvideo” by Luigi Archetti & Bo Wiget transforms the director´s images into music and has convinced the jury consisting of three personalities. Their statement: „this video clip is ironic, airy-fairy, pretentious, obviously “ arty” although the music and the video go together very well. It plays with the conventions of a music video, it is anti-choreography, anti-video, it is simple and elegant … […]”. In 2007 the duo had already won the same prize for their experimental short film “I Have Seen You Dancing Better Than This”. The award for the animation film “Tôt ou tard” is associated with an acquisition option of the distribution rights by the KurzFilmAgentur Hamburg.
