Three Swiss short films will be screened in the competition of the 17th Curtas Vila do Conde International Film Festival (July 4-12, 2009). Eileen Hofer’s short fiction film “Racines” and Georges Schwizgebel’s animation film “Retouches” will both be competing against a total of 46 films in the international competition. Adrian Flückiger’s animation film “Signalis” (production: Lucerne School of Art and Design) will participate in the festival’s new competition for children’s films “Curtinhas”. Film director Eileen Hofer will attend the festival in Vila do Conde to present her film personally.
