Three Swiss films at film festival in Cairo

The Swiss low budget film “Eves’ New Year” by Yves Gmür and Jhake R. Wells 33rd Cairo International Film Festival (November 10-20, 2009) has been selected as one of the fourteen entries to be screened in digital competition. The feature film “Les secrets” (“Dowaha”) by Raja Amari (coproduction: Akka Films, Geneva) will be screened in the Arab competition, and “Tag am Meer” by Moritz Gerber (production: HesseGreutert Film, Zurich) will be presented in the “Festival of Festivals” section.
The festival in Cairo is considered to be one of the most important film festivals in Arab countries. It is among the thirteen international film festivals with a competition ranked in the ‘A’ category by the International Federation of Film Producers Association (FIAPF) in 2009.
