07.11.2009
The Swiss-Austrian coproduction “Pepperminta” by Pipilotti Rist will be screened in the European competition and the documentary film “Hugo en Afrique” by Stefano Knuchel in the “Eurodoc” competition at the 6th Festival de Cine Europeo in Seville, Spain (November 6-14, 2009). Furthermore, the feature film “Brothers” by Igaal Niddam has been selected among the 23 films in the running for the European Film Award.
Both Pipilotti Rist’s contemporary fairy tale “Pepperminta” and Stefan Knuchel’s portrait of the comic book illustrator Hugo Pratt celebrated their premieres at this year’s Mostra in Venice and will continue their successful festival career in Seville. The film “Brothers” was proposed by the majority of the Swiss members of the European Film Academy and is thus in the running for a nomination of the European Film Award. The nominations will be announced at the festival on November 7.
