Jean-Luc Godard’s “Film Socialisme”, Erik Bernasconi’s “Sinestesia” and Jacqueline Zünd’s “Goodnight Nobody” will be featured in the Special Events section of the 40th Molodist Kyiv International Film Festival, which will be held in the Ukrainian capital from October 23-31, 2010. Marina Rosset’s award-winning animation film “Laterarius” will participate in the Short Film Competition together with 21 international short film productions for the Best Short Film award. Marina Rosset and Erik Bernasconi will present their films personally in Kiev.

The film festival in Kiev, which ranks among the most important in Eastern Europe, will also screen Nicolas Steiner's multi-award-winning fiction film "Ich bin's Helmut" in the Student Film Competition, with the director in attendance.

The cinematic essay "Goodnight Nobody" is about the mysterious world of insomniacs and already won an award in Nyon. It commenced its international career in Taiwan and Leipzig in October. All of the other Swiss film productions invited to Kiev have already been screened abroad and are establishing successful careers: for example, the feature film "Sinestesia," with screenings in Canada, Belgium, Spain and India. Moreover, film director Erik Bernasconi will give a Master class in Kiev.
The renowned Molodist Kyiv International Film Festival is an important platform for establishing contacts and is the third largest festival in Eastern Europe, after those in Moscow and Karlovy-Vary.
