Swiss producer wins European Film Music Award

Swiss producer Robert Boner (Saga Production, Lausanne) received a film music trophy in the “Best Producer” category within the framework of the 1st European Film Music Days (November 14-15, 2008). The award ceremony was held at the Cité de la Musique in Paris on November 14, 2008. The event was launched by the Federation of Film & Audiovisual Composers of Europe (FFACE) to commemorate the centenary of film music.
Robert Boner was honoured for his efforts as a producer of Frédéric and Samuel Guillaume’s film “Max & Co”, for which he commissioned the French composer Bruno Coulais to write the film music. Boner had already worked together with Coulais for a number of (co)-productions in the past: “Le petit prince a dit” by Christine Pascal (1992) and “Flammen im Paradies” by Markus Imhoof (1997).



The European Film Music Days and ist award ceremony were organised by the Federation of Film and Audiovisual Composers of Europe (FFACE), a consortium of associations from 13 European countries. With film musicians Jérôme Baur and Louis Crelier (“Azzurro”), Switzerland is represented by the Union of Film Music Composers (UFMC). The European Film Music Award was presented in the following categories: “Best Composer”, “Best Director“, “Best Producer”, “Best Director/Composer Duo”, “Best Emerging Composer”, “Best European Promotion Structure” and “Century Award”.
