Film director Adriano Kestenholz from Ticino was honoured with the Special Jury Prize for his documentary film “Domenico Fontana: ingegnere, architetto, urbanista” at the 1st Festival Internacional de Cine y Patrimonio in Murcia, Spain (May 31-June 6, 2009). This award is endowed with 5,000 euros.
The 50-minute film was made in 2007 in commemoration of the 400th anniversary of Domenico Fontana’s death. Fontana was an architect from Ticino who worked in Rome and Naples at the end of the 16th and beginning of the 17th century.
