All three coproductions mentioned above were screened at the film festival in Cannes last May. Furthermore, the screening of "Miramare" in Sarajevo marks the 17th time the short animation film has been presented at the festival. In July alone the film, for which the illustrations were drawn on glass, was screened at three festivals in Poland (Torun, Poznan and Wroclaw), in Tabor-Desinic (Croatia), St. Petersburg, Rio de Janeiro, Melbourne, Sarajevo and Prizren (Kosovo).
Moreover, the Swiss presence at this leading festival in the Balkans encompasses the short animation films "For A Fistful Of Snow" by Julien Ezri and "Pink Nanuk" by Jeanine Reutemann together with the feature-length documentary film "Toumast - entre guitare et Kalashnikov" by Dominique Margot. This film will be presented in conjunction with a special screening organised by the International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights (FIFDH) in Geneva in collaboration with the Sarajevo Film Festival. Esther van Messel, producer and founder of the Zurich-based world sales distribution firm First Hand Films, is a member of the Documentary Film Jury.
