Strong Swiss presence at Mostra in Sao Paulo

The 31st Mostra internacional de cinema in Sao Paulo, taking place from October 19 – November 1, 2007, will include a broad view of Swiss filmmaking with its selection of five films from the German-, French--, and Italian-speaking parts of Switzerland. The Mostra counts among Latin America’s most important film festivals.
The feature films “Aux frontières de la nuit” by Nasser Bakhti (Production: Troubadour Films, Geneva), and “Wir werden uns wiederseh’n” by Oliver Paulus and Stefan Hillebrand (Production: Motorfilm, Zurich), as well as the documentary film “Retour à Gorée” by Pierre-Yves Borgeaud (CAB Productions, Lausanne), will participate in the international “New Directors” competition, along with approximately 100 films. Two additional productions will be presented in the “New Perspectives” section: The hip-hop drama “Breakout” by Mike Eschmann (Production: Zodica Pictures, Lucerne), and the photographer portrait “Pédra. Un reporter sans frontières” by Villi Hermann (Imagofilm, Lugano).
