“Slumming” takes home prize at Film Festival Palic (Serbia)

At the 13th European Film Festival Palic (July 15-21, 2006), the Austrian film “Slumming” directed by Michael Glawogger and co-produced by Dschoint Ventschr, Zurich, took home the “Palic Tower” prize. With the director in attendance, the international jury justified its decision as follows: “… for the extraordinary artistic and unique depiction of European conflicts.”
“Slumming” also participated in the 2006 Berlinale competition section. At the Austrian Diagonale Film Festival, it won the award for “Best Script”. This month, the film was also shown at the International Festival in Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic).
