“Shepherds’ Journey into the Third Millenium” wins Documentary Film Prize in Wuerzburg, Germany

At the 30th Wuerzburg International Film Weekend, which took place from January 22-25, the film “Shepherds’ Journey into the Third Millenium” by Erich Langjahr was awarded the Documentary Film Prize. This award of 1500 Euro, sponsored by the energy company e.on, was given out for the first time.
An homage to Swiss director Erich Langjahr was featured at this year’s event, and in addition to “Shepherds’ Journey into the Third Millenium”, the other two films of his trilogy, “Alpine Ballad” and “Peasants’ War”, were shown along with “Ex Voto”. “Shepherds’ Journey into the Third Millenium” has been playing in German movie theatres since the end of 2003. After running in Berlin and Hamburg, the film’s premieres in Munich, Leipzig, and Dresden are planned for February 2004.
