Rolando Colla’s political film wins award in Italy
The short film “Einspruch VI,” an enormously successful film by the exceedingly productive director Rolando Colla, recently won yet another award, this time in Italy.

Rolando Colla’s short film “Einspruch VI” (production: Peacock Film, Zurich) was honoured with the award for Best Fiction Film, endowed with EUR 250, at the 11th Concorto Film Festival in Pontenure, Italy (August 25 - September 1, 2012). The 17-minute film is told from the subjective perspective of the protagonist in the film and is based on a real incident: an African asylum-seeker whose rejected application leads to deportation from Switzerland and his tragic death.
“Einspruch VI” draws great deal of attention at festivals
The award in Italy marks the fourth for “Einspruch VI,” which celebrated its premiere at the Solothurn Film Festival in January. Rolando Colla’s stirring film won the Special Jury Prize at the film festival in Clermont Ferrand – a major platform for the short film genre. Since then the film has been screened at 16 international festivals, most recently in Pontenure, in Telluride (USA) and in Montreal (World Film Festival), all of which took place at the beginning of September.
