“Out Of Bounds” in Japan
20.11.2008
The film “Out of Bounds” by Fulvio Bernasconi was one of the ten European works presented as a “Premiere Screening” at the 15th Osaka European Film Festival (November 21-24, 2008). Film director Fulvio Bernasconi, from Ticino, will personally present his film, which was awarded the Leopard for Best Actor last year in Locarno, at the festival in the Japanese metropolis. In addition, the festival has organised a special screening of “Out of Bounds” in a cinema in Tokyo on November 29.
The film festival in Osaka showcases cinematic highlights from Europe in ist “Premiere Screening” gala programme. Last year Andrea Staka’s “Fraulein” and Bettina Oberli’s “Late Bloomers” were both placed in the limelight at the festival. In 2006 it was “Vitus” by Fredi M. Murer; in 2005 “One Long Winter Without Fire” by Greg Zglinski and Bettina Oberli’s fiction film debut “North Wind”. Thanks to the collaboration between the Osaka European Film Festival and SWISS FILMS, particularly outstanding Swiss documentary and fiction films have been screened in Osaka every year since 2002, with directors and actors in attendance.
