“Late Bloomers” starting in German movie theatres

“Late Bloomers” – currently the most successful Swiss film with over a half million tickets sold – will be shown on German screens starting March 29, 2007. The Berlin distribution company X-Verleih is bringing the comedy, which takes place in the Bernese Emmental region and features a brilliant cast with Stephanie Glaser in the main role, to German movie theatres with over 50 copies. The director Bettina Oberli will be in attendance at audience premieres taking place in Berlin on March 28, in Hamburg on March 29, and in Munich on March 30.
As part of the export promotion program, SWISS FILMS - in collaboration with the Swiss Federal Office of Culture (BAK) - financially supports the distribution of “Late Bloomers” with a maximum grant of 25,000 Euro. The film will be presented in its original language of Swiss-German with German subtitles.
