Grand Prix für Science-Fiction-Film «Hell» in Porto

The German-Swiss coproduction “Hell” – the first feature-length film by Tim Fehlbaum, from Basel – won the Grand Prix for Best Film at the 32nd Fantasporto International Film Festival (February 20- March 4, 2012).

The German-Swiss coproduction “Hell” – the first feature-length film by Tim Fehlbaum, from Basel – won the Grand Prix for Best Film at the 32nd Fantasporto International Film Festival (February 20- March 4, 2012), as well as the award for Best Actress for the film’s leading actress Hannah Herzsprung. The film has been nominated in the categories of Best Fiction Film and Best Screenplay for the Swiss Film Prize “Quartz 2012,” which will be awarded in the KKL Luzern on March 17. The apocalyptic thriller was Tim Fehlbaum's graduation film at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF).

The film  “Hell,” coproduced by Vega Film in Zurich, competed for the award against 14 other films at the Fantasporto Festival. Since celebrating its premiere at the Filmfest München last year in July, the film has been screened at a dozen festivals and honoured with five awards. Film director Tim Fehlbaum received advice and support for the film from the successful film director and producer Roland Emmerich (“The Day After Tomorrow”; “2012”).
