The 37-minute film “Snack-bar Aquário” by Sergio Da Costa was honoured with the Grand Prix for Best Short Film at the 25th “EntreVues” Belfort International Film Festival (November 27-December 5, 2010). The director attended the award ceremony in Belfort to accept the Grand Prix endowed with EUR 2,000.
"Snack-bar Aquário" was among the seven films in the International Competition for Short Film. The central character in this medium-length film is a bar in a remote Portuguese village, where deaths are the only thing that interrupt the monotony. The film was Sergio Da Costa's graduate film at the Geneva University of Art and Design (HEAD). The award in Belfort follows the award for Best First Documentary Film which he won this past October at the doclisboa Festival in Lisbon. Swiss journalist Nicole Hess was a member of the jury of seven.
