Films produced in Switzerland in competition at Mostra in Venice
Two films produced in Switzerland will be screened in the Orizzonti Competition at the 67th Mostra International Film Festival in Venice (September 1-11, 2010)

The museum's former director and Indian curator, Dr. Eberhard Fischer, contributed a great deal that "went far beyond the production of the 90-minute film," according to film director Amit Dutta. His inspiration for the film came from works by Nainsukh, the Indian miniaturist from the 18th century who ranked among the great masters of his art. This is not the first screening in Venice for Amit Dutta: last year the jury honoured his debut film "The Man's Woman and Other Stories" with a Special Mention.
The 25-year-old Eleonore Meier had just completed her studies at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles at the end of 2009 and already produced a fiction film: "Macho", which was also directed by Rafael Palacio Illingworth. The screening of the 6-minute short film "Man in a Room" that she produced at this year's Mostra in Venice lends her career as a producer an additional boost.
